It's just a game

Why do our kids play sports?  If you asked them, they surely would respond because it's FUN.  The emphasis to win at all costs is wrong and should be re-examined.  I realize that the sport "role models" adhere to this philosophy but our liitle stars are not pros and most of them never will be.  Let's teach our athletes to love the game, be good teammates, respect authority (i.e officials and coaches) and have the time of their life playing a sport they love.

  2. I have to agree, Duff. Most kids aren`t going to make it to the bigs, but that doesn`t mean they shouldn`t still try and have some fun playing storts. If you win, great. If you lose keep trying to do your best. But, it is a lot more fun to win than to lose.
